Alison Law Communications.
Alison Law’s career in marketing and communications began in a newsroom in her hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn. While studying communications at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Alison worked part time for the local NBC affiliate. She spent almost seven years in various editorial and management positions at television stations in Chattanooga, Lexington, Ky., and Baltimore, Md.
Since 2000, Alison has been putting her communications background and experience to work for law firms. She served as the first marketing professional for an intellectual property boutique firm, Needle & Rosenberg, P.C. (acquired by Ballard Spahr in 2008). She helped N&R earn national recognition for its Web site and identity launch at the 2003 Legal Marketing Association (LMA) “Your Honor” awards.
Alison served as marketing manager for two of the nation’s largest law firms, both headquartered in Atlanta. At Troutman Sanders LLP, she was responsible for marketing planning and implementation for ten practice groups. At Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, she directed marketing and business development efforts for the firm’s largest department of 170+ litigators.
In February 2008, Alison founded Alison Law Communications LLC, a company that provides copywriting, marketing and public relations services to professional service firms and B2B clients.
Although she works with clients in different locales, Alison calls Atlanta home. She enjoys spending free time with her husband, Zach, and their two cats, Sting and Chewie.
